Interdimensional Bake Sale — Kathryn Batsel

Interdimensional Bake Sale is a a project exploring concepts of mass production on an individual scale. It explores the concept of “digital collage” - taking 3d scans of ceramic figurines and replacing their heads, for example, or slicing off parts of them to create new shapes. Digital collage editing is done using Tinkercad, and objects are printed at different sizes on a 3d printer and then painted with acrylic paint. Many items include pieces taken from these Thingiverse designs in addition to 3d scans done by the artist. More content can be found at @interdimensionalbakesale on Instagram.
